Katfish Designs is a local maker based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. Kath handmakes all of the tweedy birds herself, in her small chapel studio surrounded by the Yorkshire Pennines.

Derek Duck is made from is made from Brown checked, oatmeal and bottle green Yorkshire Tweed. The details on his neck has been neede-felted wth natural merino fibres. Derek has a black resin button eye.The layers of fabric have been appliquéd together and backed with black felt. He fastens with a 2.5cm silver tone bar brooch back.

He measures approximately 8 x 7cm.

Derek comes displayed on a manilla luggage label. 

Because all of the tweedy birds are hand made, they all have a distinct personality. There may be small differences between yours and the one in the picture
