Arctic Eggs soundtrack vinyl – Lost In Cult

£31.99
Product description from their website:
Introducing the Arctic Eggs OST, the soundtrack to cooking like the pros. Jazz in sub-zero temperatures by Cameron Ginex, on eggscellent vinyl.
The full soundtrack to Arctic Eggs is available for the first time, produced through a collaboration between Lost In Cult Records and Stumpy Frog Records. The LICR exclusive ‘Sunny Side Up’ variant is limited to 300 copies.
The surreal cooking game drops you in Antarctica in 2091 and dares to ask: “Can you fry eggs ontop of Mount Everest?”
At first glance, the world of Arctic Eggs appears to go out of its way to put you off. The inhabitants of 2091 can at times appear inhuman, authoritative, uninviting… But this group of doomed people may have more to say about the human condition in a frozen world than you might think. Especially once you pull out your frying pan and make them a fried egg they’ll never forget.
Composer Cameron Ginex defied convention with the game’s soundtrack, opting for smooth jazz, soft muzak, background chatter, and moments of an inviting zen nature. The wallpaper of a strange world, with strange people, and strange situations. And yet, a pervasive sense of beauty and calm can be found throughout its 16 tracks.
Now, Stumpy Frog Records & Lost In Cult Records have collaborated to put these tunes to wax. With art by developer The Water Museum and the codex noirmatic, Cameron Ginex’s soundtrack has been pressed in two variants, limited to 300 copies each: the Sunny Side Up variant, sold through LICR & the Frying Pan variant, sold through Stumpy Frog Records.
Each copy comes with one of two felt sleeves depicting Arctic Eggs concept art.
- Single LP on Clear / White Vinyl
- Includes protective felt sleeve depicting art by E. Sánchez
- Composed by Cameron Ginex
- Mastered for vinyl by Ohad Nissim
- Artwork by the codex noirmatic and The Water Museum

The Cases
Each cassette case has been carefully redesigned to reflect the original artwork of the early 1980’s, with completely redrawn artwork and instructions that are true to the original.
The Cassettes
The cassettes have had a radical shake up, because of the advancements in modern printing - it allows us to print onto the full body of the cassette, so we’ve come up with 3 new designs that reflect each game!
The Boxset
The box is made of two interlocking sections, the inside is bright and vibrant and designed to show off the best elements of the Horace games, with completely new, redrawn and vibrant graphics. The outer section is finished in a matt black, with a spot varnish that sits over the top. The varnish takes the shape of various sprites and graphics from the games, really making the boxset pop!

Cold War Scotland – National Museums Scotland

£14.99
Product description from their website:
A new exhibition at the National Museum of Scotland will explore Scotland's critical position on the frontline of the Cold War. This book accompanies it.
Over 190 objects, many on display for the first time, will be brought together in 'Cold War Scotland' (13 Jul 2024 - 26 Jan 2025) to tell the stories of the Scots at the centre of this global conflict.
The impact of the war still lingers in Scottish politics, culture and memory. Scots played an active role in the global conflict as soldiers, for example, within intelligence services and as part of voluntary civil defences.
The exhibition will also draw on Scotland's rich history of Cold War-era protest and activism, and will reveal the physical remains - ruined bases, forgotten bunkers and decomissioned nuclear power stations still evident across the Scottish landscape.

Cold War Scotland is an output of Materialising the Cold War; a collaborative research project between National Museums Scotland and the University of Stirling.
