A note from the supplier:
From an unremarkable box of old wood comes an extraordinary legacy...
Our task was to create limited edition pieces of history out of teak floorboards from the original 1932 stage.
Everything was carefully cleaned, gently removing decades worth of dirt and grime, and then the boards were cut into individual pieces. They were sanded and finished by hand, protecting the originality antiquity, and celebrating the character.
Each piece is unique, with different dents, scratches, nails and staples, paint marks and drill holes. All of these have been preserved.
Each piece is stamped with eco friendly ink, with the shredded paper packing in the recycled Kraft box is from old Shakespeare playtexts.
Exclusively designed and created in Stratford upon Avon by The Natural Shakespeare Gift Company.
