Bird Silo is a minimalistic automatic bird feeder, designed by Finnish Mika and Julie Tolvanen for the also Finnish brand, Pídat. Mika and Julie have been observing birds for years, often through their dining room window while eating breakfast. Interested in the birds' feeding habits, the designers created the Bird Silo, specially designed for bird species that eat while sitting vertically - e.g. blue tits, titmice, chaffinch, finches and woodpeckers.
Pídat was founded by Mika and Julie Tolvanen, who focus on everyday objects and design with a production that strives for environmental friendliness and recyclability throughout the production chain, from raw materials to product packaging.
