A small, round silver disc with handwritten text saying 'this is a token'

£45.00

Product description from their website:

Presented to the Foundling Hospital in 1759, 'This is A Token' is one of the iconic tokens in the Museum's collection.

This delicate pendant is modelled on an engraved piece of copper from a parent who brought their child for care at the Foundling Hospital. It was separated from the child's records in the 1860s, so no information is available about who the token was connected to.
