The Pantone “For the Culture” collection was designed by Anna Taylor in collaboration with Copenhagen Design. Anna initially created this design, titled ‘Melanated’ to culminate Black History Month and elevate awareness and influence of Black culture in diversity and inclusion efforts.

“When I was thinking about designing a piece, I wanted to embody something representational and authentic to being Black,” recalls Anna. “I knew I wanted something that visually connected us but showed our differences.” While researching the various melanated skin pigmentations of Black people,” Anna was inspired by Rihanna’s Fenty cosmetic line, a leader in inclusive hues for people of colour.
